This is a working design for a console.
To model the design from the sketches was a challenge for me. It’s a mixture of rectangles with varying amounts of filleted vertices and skewed and scaled volumes.
I tried several approaches and nothing seemed to work; lofting multiple cross sections resulted in slightly curved lines which were wrong; subtracting volumes from plan and elevation yielded undesirable edges. I even tried u-lofting NURBS curves, the result of which was very soft, flowing, and organic, but far from the design.
In the end I acquiesced and just sculpted it from three polygon boxes; one for the head, the slender body, and the base, and then welded the three together. The end result is very close to the design, if a bit less ellipse-ish.
